Creole BBQ Shrimp for Fat Tuesday

Happy Fat Tuesday!

Creole BBQ Shrimp

Shrimp (8): Peeled & deveined
Creole seasoning: 1 Tbsp
Butter: 1 tsp
Heavy cream: 1/4 c
Shallot   (minced): 1 Shallot
Garlic   (minced): 1 clove
Blue cheese crumbles: 2 tbsp
White wine: 2 tbsp
Oil: 1 tbsp

Sauce Base:
Worcestershire sauce: 4 c
Lemon: 1
Onion: 1
Garlic clove(crushed): 5
Black pepper: 1 Tbsp

 

  • Squeeze lemon into Worcestershire sauce.
  • Leave lemon rind in sauce. Place all ingredient’s in sauce pot. Reduce by 1/2.
  • Heat oil in medium saute pan. Season shrimp with salt, pepper & creole seasoning.
  • Sear shrimp both sides 1 minute each side. Remove shrimp.
  • Add garlic and shallot’s. Saute.
  • Add wine. Reduce.
  • Add cream. Reduce.
  • Add 1 Tbsp Worcestershire reduction. Reduce to creamy sauce.
  • Add butter. Season with more creole seasoning, if needed. Serve with a biscuit or toast points.
